Caring at national artists’ home region

Krapi estate’s history goes back as far as the 17th century. The estate has belonged to the Holma family since 1911. Krapi’s history and its location on Tuusula Rantatie amid the cultural environment forms a firm basis for the business values of the current hotel and restaurant operations. Today it gives an opportunity to create unconventional and unforgettable experiences. Krapi values caring, profitability, will to succeed, traditions and individuality, open communication, responsibility and freedom. These values were written down as the guideline of operations for the year 2003. They form the Krapi spirit, which can be sensed in all Krapi’s products and services.

Leading the development – respecting the traditions

Though Krapi has made use of the old buildings surrounding its main building, it has as far as possible respected to the traditions and the environment and has tried to preserve the old rustic feel of the buildings. Krapi estate has traditionally lead the development – first in cattle breeding and later on by going through a successful transformation into a thriving hotel and restaurant business. Today Krapi develops its operations creatively and open-mindedly, taking into account environmental and cultural values. As a recognition of this Krapi was awarded the Nordic environmental protection sign. – Joutsenmerkki – in June 2004 and it was the second Finnish hotel to receive it.
